Principal's Message

Welcome to James McKee Elementary –  Proud Member of the McKee Village!

At James McKee, we believe that all students can learn and thrive when provided with the right support, high expectations, and a caring community.
Since opening our doors in 1963, we have been dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and academically rich environment where every student can succeed. While our programs and strategies have evolved over the years, our core commitment remains the same: to provide high-quality, research-based instruction that is flexible, relevant, equitable, and culturally responsive.
Our curriculum is aligned with California State Standards and guided by the Elk Grove Unified School District’s strategic goals. We work to ensure that all students are college, career, and life-ready, empowering them to become compassionate, capable contributors to a global society.
